The Miami Valley Career Technology Center Adult Education division has provided adults with high-quality training and education for over 40 years. Our labs and equipment are modern and state-of-the-art. Our programs allow students to explore new areas and develop new abilities for either personal or professional reasons - all for a reasonable investment of time and money and in a friendly yet challenging atmosphere. Miami Valley Career Technology Center – Adult Education

Miami Valley Career Technology Center is a full service adult career technical education and occupation school accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), a University System of Ohio Adult Workforce Education Center, and a member of the University System of Ohio Talent Development Network.

Carpentry
The Miami Valley CTC Carpentry program follows the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) curriculum. Upon successful completion, students earn NCCER certification. NCCER’s process of instructor certification, standardized curriculum, assessment, student certification, and national registry is an industry leader for adult workforce education.

Central Service/Sterile Processing Technician
Miami Valley CTC is approved by the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) to offer the CST program. Students successfully completing this course may sit for the Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) examination.

Dental Assisting
Successful students are eligible to take the Ohio Certification Exam for Dental Assisting (CODA). Miami Valley CTC is seeking national accreditation from the American Dental Association.

Electrical Trades/Electrician
The Miami Valley CTC Electrical Trades program follows the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) curriculum. Upon successful completion, students earn NCCER certification. NCCER’s process of instructor certification, standardized curriculum, assessment, student certification, and national registry is an industry leader for adult workforce education.

Heating and Air Conditioning Technician
This program holds national accreditation from the Partnership for Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration (PAHRA). PAHRA accredited schools meet or exceed rigorous instruction, curriculum, and facility standards for excellence.

Heavy Equipment Operations
The Miami Valley CTC Heavy Equipment Operations program follows the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) curriculum. Upon successful completion, students earn NCCER certification. NCCER’s process of instructor certification, standardized curriculum, assessment, student certification, and national registry is an industry leader for adult workforce education.

Medical Assisting
The Miami Valley CTC Medical Assisting program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of Medical Assistant Education Review Board (MAERB).

Optometric Technician
The Miami Valley CTC Optometric Technician program is accredited by the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education, American Optometric Association. Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to take the Certified Paraoptometric Technician (CPOT) examination.

Plumbing
The Miami Valley CTC Plumbing program follows the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) curriculum. Upon successful completion, students earn NCCER certification. NCCER’s process of instructor certification, standardized curriculum, assessment, student certification, and national registry is an industry leader for adult workforce education.

Practical Nurse
The Miami Valley CTC Practical Nurse program is accredited by the Ohio Board of Nursing. After graduation, applicants take the licensing examination to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Precision Machining
The Miami Valley CTC Machine Trades program is accredited by the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS). The National Institute of Metalworking Skills is the nation’s only ANSI accredited developer of precision manufacturing skill standards and competency assessments.

Veterinary Aide
The Miami Valley CTC Veterinary Aide program is approved by the Ohio Board of Regents, and accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI). Students who complete the Miami Valley CTC Veterinary Aide program are prepared to enter the world of work in the animal science industry.
