MVCTC Adult Education Trades Career Programs start March 1, 2022.  

Enroll by February 15, 2022!

 

Electrician

The MVCTC Adult Electrician Program prepares students for a career in the electrical trades, either residential, commercial, or industrial. Students will learn to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that work is following relevant codes. May install or service street lights, intercom systems, or electrical control systems.

  • Hours - 900
  • Weeks - 68
  • Class Schedule - Tuesday through Thursday, 5:30 - 10:00 pm.
  • Program Costs - $13,478 (Financial aid is available for those who qualify) (Pell & Stafford funding authorized by US Dept. of Education).
  • Employment Rate - 71% Based on data reported to the Council on Occupational Education (COE).
  • Salary Range - $31,000 - $81,000 Based on data from O*Net Online.

HVAC-R Technician

The HVAC-R adult program trains technicians to install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

  • Hours - 720
  • Weeks - 54
  • Class Schedule - Tuesday through Thursday, 5:30 - 10:00 pm.
  • Program Costs - $12,700 (Financial aid is available for those who qualify) (Pell & Stafford funding authorized by US Dept. of Education).
  • Employment Rate - 100% Based on data reported to the Council on Occupational Education (COE).
  • Salary Range - $31,600 – $70,200 Based on data from O*Net Online.

Heavy Equipment Operations

Students will learn to operate power construction equipment, such as motor graders, bulldozers, scrapers, shovels, tractors, or front-end loaders to excavate, move, and grade earth, erect structures, or pour concrete or other hard surface pavement. In addition, students learn to repair and maintain equipment and locate underground services, such as pipes or wires, before beginning work.

  • Class Schedule - Tuesday through Thursday, 5:30 - 10:00 pm.
  • Program Costs - $15,240 (Financial aid is available for those who qualify) (Pell & Stafford funding authorized by US Dept. of Education).

Precision Machining

The MVCTC Precision Machining program prepares you for a career in manufacturing as a machinist, Computer Numerical Control (CNC)machinist, or robotics technician. 

Precision machining relies on advanced, computerized machine tools to achieve demanding tolerances and create complex cuts with a high degree of repeatability and accuracy. This can be achieved by using automated computer numerical control (CNC) machine tools. Students will also have the opportunity to see the application of robotics and advanced manufacturing and learn FANUC, Kuka, and Yaskawa Robotics.
