The
Miami Valley Career Technology Center has over 20 programs that participate
in the School-to-Apprenticeship Program. Students have the opportunity to attend
any of these programs, receiving a high school diploma, a career-technical certificate
and credit towards a registered apprenticeship program --- All while attending
High School!
Through
the School-to-Apprenticeship Program, MVCTC students are matched with registered
apprenticeship employers in their chosen field of interest while they are still
attending MVCTC. Students put the practical knowledge learned at MVCTC to use
every day in their apprenticeship.
Students find this option rewarding, as it allows for immediate transition to
the workforce with the opportunity to pursue higher education at convenient
times that fit their work schedules.
