- Learn about the operation, maintenance and repair of assorted vehicles and equipment powered by small engines
Motorcycle Service Technology will teach students to repair engines, drivelines, electrical, fuel, and lube systems, as well as diagnostic and trouble-shooting system problems. Basic mechanical skills, parts gathering information, employability skills, and dealership operations are also taught in this program. Students will spend the hands-on lab experience repairing motorcycles, quads, and many other related vehicles and equipment powered by small engines.
The Motorcycle Service Technology program will prepare students for a career as a motorcycle technician, technician trainer, parts and sales service person, or general service technician. With additional education, students may go on to become a motorcycle mechanic, all-terrain vehicle mechanic, snowmobile mechanic, small engine mechanic, marine mechanic, truck mechanic, construction equipment mechanic, diesel engine repair technician, used equipment restorer, new equipment assembler, service manager, or even a shop owner.
