SCHOOL INFORMATION
CAMPUS DESCRIPTION
  • Three-building campus located on 240-acre site
  • 425,000 square feet under roof
  • Two modern farm buildings and an aircraft hangar
  • 20 acres of woods with a variety of trees (including
    maple and burr oak that are over 200 years old)
  • 120 acres of farm land and a 3/4-acre stocked pond
  • North branch of Wolf Creek crosses the campus
    (15 varieties of fish have been identified)
HISTORY
Approved and accredited by the Ohio Department of Education and North Central Association of Colleges and Schools as a two-year public joint vocational school offering secondary preparation with in-school and cooperative education programs, the Miami Valley Career Technology Center district began operation in 1971 with 13 member school districts from Montgomery and Miami counties. Now, 27 districts from five adjoining counties (Darke, Miami, Montgomery, Preble and Warren) comprise the Miami Valley Technology Center district.
