Crown Equipment Speaks with MVCTC Seniors

Englewood, Ohio – The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) welcomed Mr. Brad Jordan, Crown Recruitment Manager, and  Mr. Matt Jones, Crown Recruiter to campus on Friday, September 30, 2016.  Senior students from MVCTC Auto Collision, Automotive Technology, Diesel Power Technologies, Electrical Trades, and HVAC learned about careers at Crown Equipment and discussed career planning and interview skills.

 

According to the Crown website, “Since its entry into the material handling equipment industry in 1960, Crown has earned a reputation as a leading innovator in world-class forklift and material handling equipment.  Crown designs and manufactures 85 percent of its lift truck components, including key parts like motors, drive units, and electronic modules. Since 1945, Crown has grown from a one-room operation in rural Ohio to one of the top five largest lift truck manufacturers in the world.” 

 

Mr. Jordan and Mr. Jones shared information about careers at Crown and shared that over 300 positions are currently opened with Crown in the United States, many of these in the Technician Service area.  MVCTC students are well prepared with the skills needed to find rewarding careers in these areas.
