Tri-Village MVCTC FFA Agriculture Communications Team Top 15 in Ohio!

The Agricultural Communications contest is designed to sharpen FFA members’ written skills as well as their computer and technology skills.  Freshman members of the Tri-Village MVCTC FFA Chapter, placed in the Top 15 out of over 320 chapters in the state of Ohio! Willow Moore, Madison Crawford, Kate Gross, Kylie Beisner, and Logan Ashbaugh were tasked with developing a 15-page media tactics plan, presenting a 15-minute proposal to judges, taking two online Associated Press Editing quizzes and conducting practicums which ranged from Press Release writing to Web Design.

The team of Freshman, traveled to the Ohio State University on Friday, February 15, where they practiced and ran through their proposal in the hotel conference room after a team dinner.  Saturday, February 16,  the team took the floor, representing the Tri-Village MVCTC FFA with hard work, professionalism, and class.

This is the 7th Career Development Event that the Tri-Village MVCTC FFA Chapter has been awarded a Top 15 in Ohio placing in just three years! 

HISTORY made at Tri-Village MVCTC FFA Chapter! 

Willow Moore, a freshman member of the Tri-Village MVCTC FFA Chapter has etched her name into New Madison/Tri-Village history! Willow took 1st place at both the Darke County and District 5 FFA Creed Speaking Contests in the past two weeks; qualifying her for the State Competition on March 2nd. Miss Moore is the first Tri-Village MVCTC FFA member in the Chapter's 90-year history to make the State Competition!

Willow was also selected as the MVCTC Satellite student of the month for December and was a vital member of Tri-Village MVCTC FFA Chapter's State Qualifying Agricultural Communications team along with freshman members; Kylie Beisner, Madison Crawford, Kate Gross, and Logan Ashbaugh.

Alongside Willow, Junior and Chapter Vice President Jonathon Crawford placed 2nd at the Darke County Extemporaneous Speaking Contest and then competed at the District 5 FFA Contest as well.

The Tri-Village Agriculture Education Department and FFA Chapter are under the direction of Advisor Justin Slone and the Miami Valley Career Technology Center.
