MVCTC Students Ryan Trottier Recipient of the 2019 You Can Count on Me McAfee Heating and Air Conditioning Scholarship
Englewood, Ohio – Congratulations to Ryan Trottier of Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Firefighter/EMS program! He is a $2,500 recipient for this year's "You Can Count On Me" scholarship! MVCTC Firefighter/EMS Instructor, Captain John Shaw was also recognized as someone Ryan admires and received a $250 check for his classroom.
According to the You Can Count on Me website http://www.youcancountonme.org/ , “The focus of this scholarship is to provide financial support for students who have demonstrated a strong work ethic and who wish to pursue opportunities to better themselves through college courses and/or post-secondary training programs. Emphasis will be placed on students who have demonstrated their work ethic through meaningful work experiences. Work experience is not limited to employment outside of the home. Students who demonstrate a strong work ethic by assuming significant support roles within the home or who have contributed a significant amount of time and effort within their communities are equally eligible.”
