MVCTC Sports Medicine Students Qualify for State Science Fair

Englewood, Ohio – Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Sports Medicine program students competed in the West District Science Fair on March 23, 2019.  Ten students successfully presented their projects. Six of the ten students qualified for the State Science Fair at The Ohio State University on May 11, 2019. MVCTC had the most students qualify for the state competition.

 

The six moving on to the State Science Fair are:

  • Melissa Siler (Tri-Village)
  • Taylor Schumacher (Tri-County North)
  • Olivia Jones (Northmont)
  • Shianne McGlaughlin (Valley View)
  • Haley Brown (Brookville)
  • Nikita Brown (Vandalia-Butler)

This is the second year in a row that  Nikita Brown and Olivia Jones have qualified for the state contest.

Taylor Green (Tri-County North) received the Human Factors Information Display, Society Information Display award, and a $100 cash prize.

Taylor Schumacher (Tri-County North), received the excellence in a STEM Field Project award, given by Dr. Brandy Phipps and a $250 cash prize.
