MVCTC Adult Education Partners with Preble County

Miami Valley Career Technology Center Adult Education is partnering with Preble County Development Partnership to offer a training program for qualified individuals to prepare for jobs with local manufacturing companies while earning a high school diploma via the Ohio Adult Diploma Program.

  • What:     10-week Manufacturing Training Course
  • When:    Orientation is Monday, April 15, 2019.  The course ends on June 20, 2019.
  • Where:   Edison State Community College, Preble County Campus in Eaton
  • How:       Eligible students should have an interest in pursuing a career in manufacturing and have no formal training or experience in manufacturing. Students must be at least 22 years of age, be an Ohio resident, and never completed their high school education or GED to qualify.

Earn your high school diploma

The program starts with a three week training program that includes WorkKeys exam preparation to meet the qualifications for earning a high school diploma from the Ohio Department of Education.

AND Earn Manufacturing Industry Certification

The final seven weeks of training will be the Manufacturing Skills Standard Council (MSSC) certificate training to earn a Certified Production Technician (CPT) certification.  The certification includes four modules: Safety, Quality and Measurement, Manufacturing Processes and Production, and Maintenance Awareness- enhancing your overall qualifications for existing jobs!
