MVCTC FCCLA Students Bound for National Competition

Englewood, Ohio – Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, and Hospitality Services students competed in the Ohio Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Competition this April, in Columbus

 

MVCTC students winning their state competition and qualifying for the National FCCLA Competition include:

  • Applied Math for Culinary Management Contest – 1st place and Gold, Austin Miracle (Culinary Arts from Tri-County North)
  • Career Investigation Contest – 1st place, Cameron Gamble (Early Childhood Education from West Carrollton)
  • Chapter in Review Portfolio Team Event – 1st place, Early Childhood Education students, Alexandria Allen (New Lebanon), Kailey Applegate (Northmont), and Madyson Richards (Arcanum)
  • Hospitality, Tourism, and Recreation Team Event – 2nd place and Silver, Culinary Arts students Parker Lenski (Miamisburg) and Elijah Walters (Vandalia)
  • Interpersonal Communication Team Event – 1st place, Early Childhood Education students, Riley Cruse (Tri-County North) and Lauryn Templeton (Miamisburg)
  • Job Interview Contest – 1st place and Gold, Jennesis Gardner (Culinary Arts from Miamisburg)
  • Leadership Contest – 1st place and Gold, Noah Middlebrook (Culinary Arts from Miamisburg)
  • Life Event Planning Team – 2nd place and Gold, Culinary Arts students, Parker Lenski (Miamisburg) and Elijah Walters (Vandalia)
  • National Program in Action Team – 1st place, Early Childhood Education students, Ciara Bradberry (Tri-County North), Macey Kash (Brookville), and Destiny Strazheim (Eaton)
  •  Nutrition and Wellness – 1st place and Silver, Jennesis Gardener (Culinary Arts from Miamisburg)
  • Promote & Publicize FCCLA TEAM – Early Childhood Education students, Katelynn Adams (New Lebanon), Samantha Hartzell (Arcanum), and Carly Hoskins (Northmont)
