2019-2020 MVCTC Student Ambassadors Visit Partner Schools

Englewood, Ohio – The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) has 49 senior students who will serve as Student Ambassadors during the 2019-2020 school year. These students learn leadership skills and public speaking to represent MVCTC as spokespersons for the school.

The MVCTC Student Ambassadors visit the 27 MVCTC partner school districts in the fall to share their experiences, career technical programs, and career goals with high school sophomores. All of the sophomores from the 27-partner school have the opportunity to select two career programs to visit at MVCTC during the annual Sophomore Career Days in November. Ambassadors shared career technical programs and college opportunities.  MVCTC offers 40 career technical programs for high school juniors and seniors.

Levi Billenstein (Heavy Equipment Operator/Ansonia), Carson Brown (Business Ownership/Milton-Union), Kamryn Dicken (Animal Care & Management/Miamisburg), Harlie Turpin (Pre-Nursing/Preble Shawnee), and Austin Scott (Computer Networking & Cyber Security/Milton-Union).

MVCTC Student Ambassadors visited Northmont’s sophomores on September 5. Austin Baker (Retail Agriculture Services/Northmont), Jacob Bowling (Auto Services/Northmont), Mydejah Burden (Pre-Nursing/Northmont), Parker Lenski (Culinary Arts/Miamisburg), Alex Newport (Computer Coding & Web Applications/Eaton), and  Makayla Picker (Criminal Justice/Tipp City).

Hana Witters (Graphic Commercial Arts/Northmont), Katelynn Adams (Early Childhood Education/New Lebanon), Jarod Hegemier (Architectural Design/Franklin Monroe), Kaylah Jones (Medical Office Management/Wayne), Jessica Miller (Agriculture & Livestock Production/Arcanum), Hunter Sowder (Health Occupations/Eaton), Zoe Utsinger (Biotechnology/Twin Valley South), Melina Valdivia Plascencia (Medical Lab Assisting/Vandalia Butler).

Selene Weaver (Sports Medicine/Franklin Monroe), Joel Combs (Automotive Technology/Eaton), Alex Newport (Computer Coding & Web Applications/Eaton), Rylan Roberts (Electrical Trades/Preble Shawnee), and Harlie Turpin (Pre-Nursing/Preble Shawnee).

MVCTC Student Ambassadors visited Tri-Village’s sophomores on September 12. Jesse Jergens (Firefighter/West Carrollton), Madison Green (Cosmetology/Tri-Village), Lily Preston (Veterinary Science/Tri-Village), and Collin Young (Auto Collision/West Carrollton).

MVCTC Student Ambassadors visited Miamisburg sophomores on Tuesday, September 17. Kamryn Dicken (Animal Care & Management/Miamisburg), Kaylah Jones (Medical Office Management/Wayne), Parker Lenski (Culinary Arts/Miamisburg), and Marissa Thigpen (Pre-Nursing/Carlisle).

MVCTC Student Ambassadors visited Arcanum and Franklin Monroe sophomores on Wednesday, September 18.  Madison Green (Cosmetology/Tri-Village), Selene Weaver (Sports Medicine/Franklin Monroe), Jarod Hegemier (Architectural Design/Franklin Monroe), and Daniel Brown(Natural Resource Management/Eaton).

MVCTC Student Ambassadors visited West Carrollton sophomores on Friday, September 20. Collin Young (Auto Collision/West Carrollton),   Alexander Palcic (Construction Carpentry/Wayne), Krizdin Jordan (Hospitality Services/Wayne), and Kelsea Drake (Health Occupations/ Miami East).

MVCTC Student Ambassadors visited Twin Valley South on Tuesday, September 24. Maggie Johnson (Robotics & Automation/Twin Valley South), Zoe Utsinger (Biotechnology/Twin Valley South), Hunter Sowder (Health Occupations/Eaton), and Jacob Bowling (Auto Services/Northmont.

Student Ambassadors visited Ansonia and Mississinawa Valley sophomores on Thursday, September 26. All sophomores from the 27-partner school districts have the opportunity to select two career programs to visit at MVCTC during the annual Sophomore Career Days. This year, Sophomore Career Days are December 3-5, 2019. The Annual Sophomore Open House and Spaghetti Dinner is December 5, from 4:30-7 p.m.
