MVCTC Business Professionals of America Students Have Success at Virtual State Competition

Englewood, Ohio – Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Business Professionals of America (BPA) students participated in the first ever virtual State Leadership Conference April 20-24, 2020.

 

Members competed against more than 900 conference delegates in state level business skills competitions.

  • Om Bhavsar (Computer Networking & Cyber Security/Vandalia-Butler), 1st Place, Server Administration Using Microsoft

  • Qian Cong Li (Computer Coding & Web Applications/ Miamisburg), 1st Place, C++ Programming

  • Clara Walton (Sports Management & Marketing/Valley View), 2nd Place, Digital Marketing Concepts

  • Kyle Bergen (Computer Networking & Cyber Security/ Northmont), 3rd Place, Information Technology Concepts

  • Yareth Rios (Business Ownership/Vandalia-Butler), 3rd Place, Advanced Spreadsheet Applications

  • Zakiah Le'Flore (Business Ownership/Carlisle), 3rd Place, Business Law and Ethics 

  • David Clark (Computer Coding & Web Applications/Miamisburg), 3rd Place, C++ Programming

  • Jonathon North (Business Ownership/Bethel), 3rd Place, Extemporaneous Speech

  • Adam Woxman (Business Ownership/Eaton), 4th Place, Business Meeting Management Concepts

  • Carson Brown (Business Ownership/Milton-Union) 4th Place, Human Resource Management

 

 

BPA Torch Awards

The Business Professionals of America Torch Awards Program is designed to promote professionalism and leadership in both career development and personal growth.  Students complete activities in the seven Torch categories: Leadership; Service; Cooperation; Knowledge; Friendship; Love, Hope, Faith; and Patriotism.  There are four levels of Awards based on the amount of points earned – Executive (local), Diplomat (regional), Statesman (state) or Ambassador (National) Torch Award.

The following students earned State and National Torch Awards:
