MVCTC Auto Collision Program Receives Generous Donation

Englewood, Ohio – The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Auto Collision Program recently received a donation from the Collision Repair Education Foundation (CREF Foundation) and 3M Company.

CREF donated state-of-the-art tools to the MVCTC program, helping students to be prepared for an in demand career in collision repair. 3M also donated T-shirts to the program.

Per the CREF website, “The Collision Repair Education Foundation is committed to promoting excellence in collision education. Our school grants provide collision schools with the opportunity to obtain the most up-to-date tools, equipment, and supplies to enhance the educational experience. The ultimate goal is that every entry-level collision repair technician be a graduate of a top-tier collision repair school and be hired by collision repair businesses with the necessary skills and understanding of new technology to be well-trained, productive, efficient, and capable employees from day one on the job.”

The MVCTC Auto Collision program prepares students to work in automobile dent repairing, welding, auto detailing, removing and replacing parts, electrical systems, cooling systems, and estimating.  This program provides instruction in repairing plastics, fiberglass, rubber bumpers, and refinishing metals and plastics used to manufacture automobiles and trucks. Students in the Auto Collision program at MVCTC have the opportunity to earn ICAR Collision Repair Certifications and a college scholarship to Sinclair Community College.
