The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Diesel Power Technologies program received a dual tire dolly donation from BLS Trucking. The dolly will allow students to learn how to remove drive tires off a semi-truck.

According to their website, "BLS Trucking Inc., with corporate headquarters in New Carlisle, Ohio, has been family-owned and operated since 1980 and is the largest independent delivery service for 84 Lumber Company.

BLS Trucking, Inc. started with one truck and one employee in 1980 and now owns/operates more than 425 trucks and 360 employees. We now provide local building material deliveries at over 80+ locations in 16 states in the U.S. We pride ourselves on having the best service and equipment in the market."

The Diesel Power Technologies program teaches students to perform preventive maintenance to ensure the safe operation of large trucks, tractors, combines, and other heavy equipment. During the junior year in the Diesel Power Technologies program, students learn to diagnose, disassemble, test, repair, and reassemble a diesel engine, including fuel systems and check, adjust, repair power trains, and identify and use fasteners and tools. Senior year students learn to service air conditioning systems, identify, troubleshoot, service electrical and electronic systems, and identify, troubleshoot, and service hydraulic systems.
