Veterinary Science team Places 2nd in State Equine Management Contest

Englewood, Ohio- Veterinary Science seniors at the Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) recently competed in the Equine Management Career Development Event hosted by Wilmington College. Students loaded the bus early Tuesday, March 2, 2022, and departed to Clark County Fairgrounds to begin their event. 


The Equine Management CDE is an educational activity designed as a practical method of teaching students current horse evaluation and selection techniques in addition to developing management skills necessary for success in the equine industry.

  • Logan Pope (Tipp City) placed 1st overall with a score of 248
  • Jenna Klingenberger (Tri-County North) placed 5th overall, with a score of 239
  • Brayden Clouse (New Lebanon) placed 13th overall with a score of 229
  • Rachel Kelly (Eaton)  placed 21st with a score of 223
  • Students Yuliana Morgado (Vandalia-Butler), Hailey Sager (Arcanum-Butler), Catherine Bole (Northmont), Sarah Cole (Valley View), Victoria Presgraves (West Carrollton), Kaydence Garrett (West Carrollton), Ava Knipp (Miamisburg), Miyu Sakumoto (Tipp City), Max Maher (New Lebanon), and Nia Dawson (Northmont) also participated.

The Miami Valley Career Technology Center had a team score of 939, which won the second place in this event.
