10/11/2022

Englewood, Ohio – Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) students from John Ciprian's Fab Lab class visited and toured two local manufacturing companies on Friday, October 7, to celebrate National Manufacturing Day.

The students toured Minco Tool & Mold, Inc. and ARCH Cutting Tools - Dayton.

Todd Engel, MVCTC Career Exploration Coordinator, stated, "Students in Fab Lab are from various programs but still have an interest in manufacturing through their elective Fab Lab class. The students were engaged and excited to learn how some of the processes, software, and machines used in their Fab Lab class are being used in local manufacturing facilities."

One Business Ownership student commented, "This is really cool, and now I am thinking about owning a manufacturing company like these!"

According to Dayton Region Manufacturers Association (DRMA), "[Manufacturing Day] helps a new generation of workers embark on a modern manufacturing career and strengthen the industry's talent pipeline!"
