MVCTC National Technical Honor Society Induction Ceremony

Englewood, Ohio – Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) inducted 60 students into National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) on Sunday, March 20, 2016. The NTHS students as well as their honored educators from MVCTC and their partner school district, were recognized in a ceremony at MVCTC in front of family and friends.

 

Students are selected for NTHS based on the following requirements: a 3.75 grade point average or higher, 97 percent attendance, passed all parts of the Ohio Graduation Test and instructor recommendations. Each of the 2016 inductees is the recipient of a $500 scholarship made possible by the MVCTC Education Foundation. 

  • Damon Ahrens (Ansonia) enrolled in the Construction Carpentry program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. Kelly Kramer (Construction Carpentry Instructor) and Mr. Jason Wright from Ansonia.  Damon is the son of Tim Ahrens of Carthagena and Star Ahrens of Ansonia. 
  • Taemar Awalom (Northmont) enrolled in the Culinary Arts program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Cortney Bergbigler (Culinary Arts Instructor) and Ms. Kristen Henderson from Northmont.  Taemar is the daughter of Zeferewark Hagos of Englewood and Rahel Haile of Englewood. 
  • Alexandria Banks (Valley View) enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Alicia Newman (Early Childhood Education Instructor) and Mr. Andy Berry from Valley View.  Alexandria is the daughter of James and Karen Banks of Germantown. 
  • Terasha Barwick-Long (Jefferson) enrolled in the Veterinary Science program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mr. Michael Williams (English Instructor) and Mr. Eddie Davis from Jefferson.  Terasha is the daughter of Tyrone Jones and Terechia Barwick-Jones of Dayton. 
  • Cameron Bayer (Tri-County North) enrolled in the Electrical Trades program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mrs. Brenda Wheat (Math Instructor) and his mother, Mrs. Lora Bayer.  Cameron is the son of Gary and Lora Bayer of Brookville. 
  • Erica Bell (Miamisburg) enrolled in the Graphic Commercial Art program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mr. Doug Pultz (English Instructor) and Mrs. Lori Curry from Miamisburg.  Erica is the daughter of Douglas and Rhonda Bell of Miamisburg. 
  • Christopher Benge (Tippecanoe) enrolled in the Veterinary Science program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educator, Mr. Larry Seibel (Diesel Power Technology Instructor).  Christopher is the son of Christopher and Cary Benge of Tipp City. 
  • Savannah Benge (Eaton) enrolled in the Health Careers Academy program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Tonya Wiltshire (Health Careers Academy Instructor) and Mrs. Patricia Huehn from Eaton.  Savannah is the daughter of Mike and Marissa Benge of Eaton. 
  • Brian Bland (Mississinawa Valley) enrolled in the Heavy Equipment Operator program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mrs. Theresa Andrews (Intervention Specialist) and Mrs. Kim Knox from Mississinawa Valley.  Brian is the son of Scott Bland of Portland, IN and Mr. & Mrs. Brian Nunley of Union City. 
  • Lindsey Book (Wayne) enrolled in the Health Careers Academy program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Tina Deeter (Health Careers Academy Instructor) and Mr. Nathan Hesselbart from Wayne.  Lindsey is the daughter of Jason and Heather Book of Huber Heights. 
  • Austin Brewer (Preble Shawnee) enrolled in the Criminal Justice program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. Jeff Toms (Science Instructor) and Ms. Deannah Reece from Preble Shawnee.  Austin is the son of Jason and Wendy Brewer of West Alexandria. 
  • Madeline Cope (Miamisburg) enrolled in the Allied Health program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Ellen Bissey (Allied Health Technologies Instructor) and Ms. Saundra Cummings from Miamisburg.  Madeline is the daughter of David and Karla Cope of Dayton. 
  • Carson Denlinger (Franklin Monroe) enrolled in the Construction Carpentry program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. Kelly Kramer (Construction Carpentry Instructor) and Mr. Bob Long from Franklin Monroe.  Carson is the son of Danny and Suzanne Denlinger of Arcanum. 
  • Logan Dickison (Milton-Union) enrolled in the Natural Resource Management program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. Mike Mullen (Natural Resource Management Instructor) and his father Mr. Dana Dickison.  Logan is the son of Dana and Teri Dickison of Pleasant Hill. 
  • Austin Dougherty (Preble Shawnee) enrolled in the Graphic Commercial Art program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mrs. Lisa Hetzer (Graphic Commercial Art Instructor) and Mr. Dean Geisel from Preble Shawnee.  Austin is the son of Chance and Amy Dougherty of Camden. 
  • Madeline Durham (Eaton) enrolled in the Dental Assistant program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Abigail Hartman (Dental Assistant Instructor) and her mother Mrs. Nancy Durham.  Madeline is the daughter of Phil and Nancy Durham of Eaton. 
  • Evan Florkey (Greenville) enrolled in the Computer Repair & Technical Support program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. Mike Wilson (Computer Repair & Technical Support Instructor) and Mrs. Stephanie Mikesell from Greenville.  Evan is the son of David and Barbra Florkey of Pitsburg.  
  • Kelly Fourman (Franklin Monroe) enrolled in the Graphic Commercial Photography program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mr. Troy Baker (Graphic Photography Instructor) and Mrs. Deb Meyer from Franklin Monroe.  Kelly is the daughter of Roger and Lesley Fourman of Arcanum. 
  • Lucas Gauldin (Franklin Monroe) enrolled in the Game Programming & Web Application program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mrs. Melissa Goodall (Game Programming & Web Application Instructor) and Mrs. Colleen Mihojevich from Salem Christian Academy in Clayton. Lucas is the son of Steve and Pam Gauldin of Trotwood. 
  • Lillian Goffinet (Tippecanoe) enrolled in the Health Careers Academy program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mr. Jon Baumhauer (MVCTC Counselor) and Ms. Andrea Becker from Tippecanoe.  Lillian is the daughter of Brad and Crystal Smith of Tipp City. 
  • Christopher Grillot (Versailles) enrolled in the Precision Machining program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. Mike Deeter (Precision Machining Instructor) and Mr. Rob Winner from Versailles.  Christopher is the son of Bill and Connie Grillot of Versailles. 
  • Jacob Huddleson (Twin Valley South) enrolled in the Aviation Maintenance Technician program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. Eric Bickel (Aviation Maintenance Technician Instructor) and his mother Mrs. Lori Huddleson.  Jacob is the son of Lee Huddleson and Lori Huddleson of West Alexandria. 
  • Tyler Jackson (Vandalia-Butler) enrolled in the Precision Machining program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mrs. Kiley Beyers (English Instructor) and Mr. Greg Bergman from Vandalia-Butler.  Tyler is the son of David Hedicker and Connie Jackson-Hedicker of Vandalia. 
  • Anthony Jacobs (Tri-County North) enrolled in the Criminal Justice program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mrs. Lisa Werbrich (English Instructor) and Mr. Ben Williams from Tri-County North.  Anthony is the son of Chance and Amanda Jacobs of Lewisburg. 
  • Cheyenne Johnson (Dixie) enrolled in the Veterinary Science program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Diane Walker (Science Instructor) and Mrs. Catherine Ledford-Jones from Dixie.  Cheyenne is the daughter of Kevin and Missy Daniel of New Lebanon. 
  • Wesley Kincaid (Northmont) enrolled in the Firefighter/EMS program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. John Shaw (Firefighter/EMS Instructor) and Mr. Nathan Hannahan from Northmont.  Wesley is the son of Spiro and Angie Stilianos of Englewood. 
  • Scot Kirby (Miami East) enrolled in the Sports Management & Marketing program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. Zach Gueth (Sport Management & Marketing Instructor) and Mr. David Scott from Miami East.  Scot is the son of Steve and Mandy Kirby of Laura. 
  • Jessica Koker (Tri-County North) enrolled in the Veterinary Science program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Beth Hughes (English Instructor) and Dodi Finnigan from Tri-County North.  Jessica is the daughter of Scott and Michelle Koker of Brookville. 
  • Lauren Lee (Tri-County North) enrolled in the Dental Assistant program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Abigail Hartman (Dental Assistant Instructor) and Mrs. Beth Hough from Tri-County North.  Lauren is the daughter of Stacy Peterson of Brookville. 
  • Kai Aidan Manley (Eaton) enrolled in the Air Force Junior ROTC program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Colonel Dale Berger & Sgt. Frank Definbaugh (Air Force Junior ROTC Instructors).  Kai Aidan is the son of Michael Manley of Richmond and Stephanie Cox of Eaton.  
  • Alayna Miller (Brookville) enrolled in the Allied Health program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Beth Deaton (Allied Health Technologies Instructor) and Mrs. Kristen Page from Brookville.  Alayna is the daughter of William and Christy Miller of Brookville. 
  • Lauren Muncy (Eaton) enrolled in the Veterinary Science program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Beth Hughes (English Instructor) and Mrs. Tonna Ditmer from Eaton.  Lauren is the daughter of Jeff and Julie Muncy of College Corner. 
  • Rylie Myers (Miamisburg) enrolled in the Cosmetology program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mr. Frank Wright (Math Instructor) and Mr. John Good from Miamisburg.  Rylie is the daughter of Dan and Tara Myers of Miamisburg. 
  • Brooke Owens (Dixie) enrolled in the Allied Health program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Ellen Bissey (Allied Health Technologies Instructor) and Ms. Julie Lewis from Dixie.  Brooke is the daughter of Steve and Leslie Owens of New Lebanon. 
  • Ezra Parks (Meadowdale) enrolled in the Media & Video Production program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Miss Elizabeth Gratton (Culinary Arts Instructor) and Mr. Matt Grote from Meadowdale.  Ezra is the son of Darrell Parks of Dayton and Rena Barfield of Dayton. 
  • Jessica Parriman (West Carrollton) enrolled in the Health Careers Academy program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Tonya Wiltshire (Health Careers Academy Instructor) and Mrs. Jennifer Mattingly from West Carrollton.  Jessica is the daughter of Greg and Lori Parriman of West Carrollton. 
  • Austin Pearce (Northmont) enrolled in the Computer Network Engineering program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. John Underwood (Computer Network Engineering Instructor) and Ms. Nicole Bouas from Northmont.  Austin is the son of Bret and Michelle Pearce of Clayton. 
  • Alexandria Pompeii (Northmont) enrolled in the Aviation Maintenance Technician program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mr. Dar Borradaile (Aviation Maintenance Technician Instructor) and Ms. Bethany Allen from Northmont.  Alexandria is the daughter of Mario and Barbara Pompeii of Dayton. 
  • Autumn Prater (Northmont) enrolled in the Health Careers Academy program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Tina Deeter (Health Careers Academy Instructor) and Mr. Joe Baldasare from Northmont.  Autumn is the daughter of James and Kellie Prater of Union. 
  • Jordan Puckett (Eaton) enrolled in the Game Programming & Web Application program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Melissa Goodall (Game Programming & Web Application Instructor) and Ms. Gina Melling from Eaton.  Jordan is the daughter of Joseph and Casey Puckett of Eaton. 
  • Adriana Ramirez (Tri-Village) enrolled in the Health Careers Academy program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Ellen Bissey (Allied Health Technologies Instructor) and Ms. Kathy Harris from Tri-Village.  Adriana is the daughter of Jesse and Shannon Ramirez of New Paris. 
  • Hayley Roberts (Arcanum) enrolled in the Allied Health program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Tonya Barnett (Allied Health Technologies Instructor) and Miss Annie Lawson (English Instructor).  Hayley is the daughter of Tyler and Beth Roberts of Arcanum.

  • Angelic Smith (Northmont) enrolled in the Cosmetology program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Monica Bir (Cosmetology Instructor) and Mrs. Kathryn Abels from Northmont.  Angelic is the daughter of Sharon Hetrick of Englewood. 
  • Luke Stoner (Twin Valley South) enrolled in the Construction Carpentry program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. Kelly Kramer (Construction Carpentry Instructor) and Mr. Brandon Moore from Twin Valley South.  Luke is the son of Thomas and Anita Stoner of West Alexandria. 
  • Brianna Thomas (Brookville) enrolled in the Biotechnology program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Erin Molden (Biotechnology Instructor) and Ms. Emily Moler from Brookville.  Brianna is the daughter of Matt & Sara Thomas of Brookville and Tiffany Thompson of Brookville. 
  • James Trout (Carlisle) enrolled in the Precision Machining program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. Mike Deeter (Precision Machining Instructor) and Mrs. Diane Johnson from Carlisle.  James is the son of Gregory and Pamela Trout of Carlisle. 
  • Gabriel Van Houten (Preble Shawnee) enrolled in the Construction Carpentry program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. Kelly Kramer (Construction Carpentry Instructor) and Mrs. Shelley Dougherty from Preble Shawnee.  Gabriel is the son of Arthur and Lise Van Houten of Germantown. 
  • Nathan Virag (Brookville) enrolled in the Precision Machining program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. Van Henderson (Precision Machining Instructor) and Mrs. Stephanie Davis from Brookville.  Nathan is the son of Guy and Monica Virag of West Alexandria. 
  • Jeremiah Wallace (Wayne) enrolled in the Digital Design program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mrs. Donita Massing (Digital Design Instructor) and Mrs. Barbara Knepp from Wayne.  Jeremiah is the son of John Wallace of Huber Heights and Pamela Wallace of Richmond IN. 
  • Nicholas Wheeler (Milton-Union) enrolled in the Natural Resource Management program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. Mike Mullen (Natural Resource Management Instructor) and Mr. Luke Kinninger from Milton-Union.  Nicholas is the son of Glen Wheeler of Columbus and Jeremy & Wendy Heisey of West Milton. 
  • Parker Wilken (Eaton) enrolled in the Sports Medicine program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. Matt Money (Sports Medicine Instructor) and Mrs. Jennifer Cross from Eaton.  Parker is the son of Scot and Joni Wilken of Eaton. 
  • Bailey Williams (Northridge) enrolled in the Dental Assistant program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Cheryl Johnson (Retired Dental Assistant Instructor) and Mrs. Kathy Abrams from Northridge.  Bailey is the daughter of Jeremy Cook of Dayton and Amanda Lockhart of Dayton. 
  • Jordan Willsey (Eaton) enrolled in the Veterinary Science program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Dr. Christa Nealeigh (Veterinary Science Instructor) and Mrs. Amy Kochensparger from Eaton.  Jordan is the daughter of Bill and Jodi Willsey of Camden. 
  • Cody Windham (Brookville) enrolled in the Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mr. Michael Routzohn (Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning Instructor) and Mrs. Ann Stammen from Brookville.  Cody is the son of Matt and Kelly Windham of Brookville. 
  • Sarah Witmer (Tri-Village) enrolled in the Allied Health program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Mrs. Ellen Bissey (Allied Health Technologies Instructor) and Mrs. Brenda Miller from Tri-Village.  Sarah is the daughter of Max and Vicki Witmer of New Madison.
