Buckeye Girls State Participants Selected

04/11/2016

Emily Hutchings (Twin Valley South) Sports Medicine and Danielle Rice (Dixie) Agriculture & Livestock Production have been selected to attend the 2016 Buckeye Girls State session held at the University of Mount Union from June 12-June 18, 2016.  The objective of the Girls State program is to train young women who have completed their junior year of high school in the duties, privileges, rights, and responsibilities of citizenship.

Emily and Danielle were chosen based upon their interest in government, their scholastic achievement, and their success in an interview process.  Congratulations to these students! Last year’s participants, Alexandria Banks (Valley View) Early Childhood and Jordan Willsey (Eaton) Veterinary Science have agreed to meet with Danielle and Emily to share their experience.

Special thanks to Paula Blosser, President of the American Legion Auxiliary of Englewood, Ohio.  They are sponsoring our students’ participation in the Buckeye Girls State Program.
