MVCTC Early Childhood Education and Hospitality Services Students Earn FCCLA Power of One Award

Englewood, Ohio -   Power of One is a National FCCLA project that allows students to explore career pathways and learn skills for success in families, careers, and communities.  The project is self-directed and focuses on developing leadership qualities, exploring career options, and improving personal traits.  MVCTC Students presented their projects this past March.  The following students earned their Power of One and will be recognized at the FCCLA State Leadership Conference on April 27, 2016:

  • David Benton (Hospitality Services senior from Dixie)
  • Samaria Daniels (Hospitality Services junior from Trotwood-Madison)
  • Teresa Fugate (Hospitality Services junior from Wayne)
  • Madison Gibson (Hospitality Services  junior from Miamisburg)
  • Alexis Spencer (Early Childhood Education junior Twin Valley South)
  • Brandon Stargell (Hospitality Services  junior from Wayne)
  • Shayla Stephan (Early Childhood Education junior from Arcanum)
  • Brandon Stringfield (Hospitality Services  senior from Wayne)
  • Kelsea Taggart (Hospitality Services junior from Preble-Shawnee)
  • LaSonya Talley (Hospitality Services  senior from Trotwood-Madison)
  • MacKenzie Turner (Hospitality Services  junior from Vandalia-Butler)

For over 40-years, MVCTC has been providing career technical education for 27 partner school districts encompassing five counties in Southwest Ohio.  MVCTC is dedicated to providing in-demand workforce training for youth, adults, and organizations in the Miami Valley.
