North Central Association (NCA)
- This cycle
for NCA school improvement process ends in 2003-2004. We are in the second
year of the implementation phase of the process.
- Goals for
2002-2003:
- Continue to collect and analyze data to track progress and guide improvement
efforts
- Data from previous years will be shared with staff
- Continue Mentor/Mentee program
- Survey results from last year's participants indicate the program needs
fine tuning before implementing school wide. Student input was used at these
revisions:
... 1)a narrower focus on increasing retention
... 2)limiting length of program to one semester
junior year
- Develop and
implement process for encouraging use of the IDEA rubric for classroom instruction
- Staff participation
in this area is needed. More on this topic will be addressed at staff meetings
- Pilot web-based
year end employer survey to reduce paperwork
-Survey will remain the same; however employers will be able to take the
survey over the Internet
