Scholarship Opportunity for Adult Education Heavy Equipment Operators Program Thanks to Matrix5

This is an amazing scholarship opportunity that will be offered by Matrix5 to selected applicants who meet or exceed the requirements in Miami Valley CTC Adult Education Heavy Equipment Operators program.

 

Matrix5 is committed to providing opportunities for those who want a career in the construction industry with the will and desire to grow and become part of an amazing team. Selected candidates will work part time during the day building bridge culverts, roads, building pads, installing public utilities, clearing and grubbing, demolition, survey activities and on selected evening attend NCCER accredited Heavy Equipment Operator classes at the Miami Valley Career Technology Center. This will allow individuals to learn and grow while gaining valuable hands on experience.

No need to stress about job placement! Once the Heavy Equipment Operator courses are complete, selected applicants will transition to a full time Matrix5 employee with benefits.

All applicants must meet the minimum requirements below to be considered for the scholarship:

Matrix5 Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Complete Matrix5 scholarship application
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Willing to work while attending evening classes
  • Pre-employment drug screen
  • Complete Application for employment
  • Attendance rating of 96% +

MVCTC Requirements

  • Meet Program Criteria on Work Force Training Assessment
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Drug Screen from Arc Point Labs
  • Confirmation of Completed FAFSA (Student Aid Report) - Financial Aid
  • Confirmation of Completed Loan Counseling - Financial Aid
  • Maintain Attendance Rating
  • Must meet or exceed Academic Requirements
