Introducing the NEW Miami Valley Career Technology Center – Adult Education Division, Registered Nurse Diploma Program

04/06/2022

Englewood, Ohio -- The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Adult Education Division’s new Registered Nurse Diploma Program is a 12-month, 50-week program consisting of classroom, theory, laboratory, and clinical experience.

Graduates of the RN Diploma Program will be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN Licensure Exam. Students who pass the exam will be prepared to work in various healthcare settings as a Registered Nurse.

MVCTC Superintendent, Dr. Nick Weldy, stated, “The Miami Valley Career Technology Center Adult Education Registered Nurse Diploma program is a project that the district has been working on for more than a year. This new opportunity will provide a bridge for those nurses with an LPN license to quickly and effectively obtain the education needed to become a registered nurse. In addition, it also provides an avenue for some of MVCTC’s high school healthcare students to be able to receive credit for LPN courses while still in high school and fast-track their ability to enroll in the registered nurse program shortly after graduation. It is an amazing opportunity for both MVCTC’s secondary and adult education healthcare students.”
