We have an excellent opportunity for multiple Maintenance Technicians ranging in skill sets from apprentices to master mechanics, at our Dole Fresh Vegetables manufacturing facility in Springfield, Ohio.



Position is considered “safety sensitive” which requires the passing of an independently administered drug screen.



Job Specifics:

responsible for repairing and maintaining processing and packaging equipment used within the facility.
Inspects equipment for proper functioning.
performs preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer's specifications.
May support repairs and installations for other advanced production/manufacturing equipment.
Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and makes repairs or adjustments as needed.
This position requires continuous work near cold, noise, and chemicals.
The position requires frequent lifting, climbing, standing, walking, crouching, squatting, bending and kneeling.
The position may require weekend and/or holiday work.

Skills

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment.
Maintain and operate Hayssen packaging equipment or equivalent.
Troubleshooting and repairs of Ishida & Yamato scales
Ability to maintain and operate chlorine and ammonia systems.
TIG weld stainless steel in a sanitary environment.
Perform Preventative Maintenance Work.
Perform breakdown analysis.
Oversee or perform general housekeeping.
Upgrade production lines with new/upgraded equipment/technology.
Direct activities of outside contractors working on assigned line
Change line for package changeovers.
Enforce GMP, safety, food safety, and audit standards.
Experience with HVAC Systems
Work independently under limited supervision (self-management)
Documentation of work schedule and work tasks completed.
Build and install various types of equipment and fixtures.
Assist on any other project or job assigned by Maintenance Supervisors.
Willing to work weekends and overtime as necessary.
Conduct yourself in a "team spirit of cooperation" throughout the company

Days / Hours

Work Shifts:

1st Shift: 6am-230pm/ or when work has been completed could run over

2nd Shift: 230pm-11pm/ or when work has been completed, could run over

3rd shift: 11pm-830am/ or when work has been completed, could run over

**must have the flexibility to work weekends and holidays as the facility runs on a 7 days/week operation**

Pay Range & Benefits

Pay Range: $23.37/hr.- $36.91/hr depending on experience and position offered.
