The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machines

Skills

1. Must be able to perform maintenance functions in a manufacturing environment with emphasis on mechanical repair
2. Responsible to improve, maintain, and repair all equipment used in manufacturing and distribution functions by troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues
3. Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures while ensuring the work performed is in accordance with relevant codes
4. Support and execute plant specific maintenance strategies to achieve key plant performance goals
5. Support planning, scheduling, and maintenance activities
6. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring and equipment
7. Follow all regulatory guidelines on maintenance of various systems while completing accurate record keeping for compliance purposes
8. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, including GMP’s, policies, and regulations.
9. Work with operators and other maintenance departments to identify and resolve mechanical issues efficiently
10. Perform routine and emergency maintenance of manufacturing systems/equipment in a multi-craft environment, including instrumentation, mechanical and equipment repair
11. Maintain manufacturing and complex equipment by performing Preventative (PM) and Corrective Maintenance to ensure maximum life expectancy of machinery
12. Maintain excellent troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical skills
13. Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques
14. Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
15. Notify appropriate leadership of unsafe, damaged work equipment and make recommendations regarding repair or replacement as needed
16. Be able to operate a forklift for retrieving raw material and removing finished goods from the production line
17. Follow FIFO practices when retrieving raw material for the lines
18. Oversee contractors as needed
19. Perform other duties as requested by Maintenance Manager
20. Practices 100% safety accountability in self and others

Monday - Thursday 3:30 pm - 2:00 AM
