Description

Summary

Perform routine but varied duties on the manufacturing floor in accordance with standard operating procedures. Responsibilities include to set-up of the machine, materials, assisting/training the Coater Helper, and maintaining quality of work produced.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible to obtain target coat weights for order specifics i.e., wet outs per adhesive change, and silicone liner base paper change.
• Responsible for dialing proper oven temperatures for every order to assure proper curing of adhesives.
• Responsible for adjusting winder tensions for order specifics.
• Responsible for operating oven control panel i.e., break panel and operator control panel.
• Responsible for adjustments i.e., adjusting winder airbags, adjusting oven guide to correspond with winder airbags, adjust face to line up with silicone liner.
• Responsible for proper testing and signing off on material.
• Obtains and verifies that correct materials are being used i.e. silicone and adhesive.
• Assist Coater Helper in set-up with the back-up roll width change i.e., mount rolls of paper on coating machines.
• Inserts metal shaft through core of paper roll, positions roll on machine unwind, using hoist, and clamps chucks or shafts in bearings.
• Assists Coater Helper in obtaining correct weights i.e., keep the adhesive supply levels steady for consistency in the coat weights and watching for unusual changes in the profile of the adhesive.
• Initiate action to prevent occurrence of non-conformities relating to products, process and quality system.
• Visually inspects the material and adhesive during the coating process for defects.
• Continuously monitors the quality of the product and notifies Coater Helper of any non-conformance.
• Assist Coater Helper to properly set air pressure, brake tension, temperature dials, buttons, and gauges to start and operate machine according to the parameters of the work order.
• Monitor equipment and process output.
• Read/follow written process instructions and follow verbal instructions.
• Works to a daily schedule and must meet or exceed output targets by understanding the product flow and handling procedures within the department.
All other duties as assigned.


Skills

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to become forklift certified
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to read scales
• Understand written and verbal instructions
• Possess basic math skills

6pm-6am


Pay Range & Benefits

$19.00/hour
$1.50 shift differential
