Description
Dog Care and Hygiene:
• Regularly bathe and groom dogs.
• Perform routine health checks (nails, ears, coats, mats).
Facility Maintenance:
• Sanitize kennels and areas using cleaning machines.
• Deep clean kennels regularly.
• Manage laundry tasks (bedding, towels).
Feeding and Care:
• Ensure dogs have appropriate food and clean water.
• Administer medications as prescribed, with proper documentation.
Dog Handling and Monitoring:
• Rotate and exercise dogs.
• Supervise group playtime for safety.
• Monitor pregnant mom dogs and whelping as needed.
Transportation and Support:
• Transport dogs as needed.
• Assist volunteers and support whelping procedures.
Documentation, Record Keeping, Communication:
• Maintain accurate records in Salesforce.
• Communicate effectively with team members.
Skills
Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Prior dog handling, training, and dog health care experience preferred.
Education and Experience
• Possession of a valid driver's license with the ability to obtain insurance at standard rates.
• Completion of high school or equivalent (GED).
• One-year related experience preferred
Physical Ability/Work Environment
• Safely lift objects up to 45 pounds and handle dogs up to 110 pounds.
• Stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods on hard surfaces.
• Use cleaning chemicals.
• Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
Days / Hours
This is a 7 day a week, 24 hour a day operation. We have roles available on 1st (8 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.), 2nd (4:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.) and 3rd (12:00 a.m. to 8 a.m.) shifts. Days of the week to be scheduled can vary.
Pay Range & Benefits
$12.50 per hour to start. Eligible for up to $1,300 in bonuses during the first year. Once skilled in the role pay will advance to $15 per hour.
