Qualifications
Must have a warm, kind, and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, be able to relate well to children, and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the Center’s program and philosophy. Must be at least 18 years old and meet the requirements of the licensing agencies and/or accreditation organizations. Must successfully complete a background check.
Minimum Education Requirement
A CDA or equivalent in experience or be willing to work towards this credential.
Paycor Onboarding and Prior to Working
o Must successfully pass all state and federal background checks associated with working in Early Childhood Education.
o Must complete all Paycor Onboarding steps prior to official hire date.
o Must provide all of the necessary information and/or documentation prior to hire date
o Must complete the required Ohio medical health and safety form provided to physician for completion, prior to date of hire.

Responsibilities
o Must complete all OCCRA Training required to be in ratio within 30 calendar days from the date of hire and to complete other licensing safety requirements, and professional development by required due date(s)
o Provide input for bi-annual assessment and screenings of children’s development.
o Must maintain daily open communication with parents via Brightwheel and/or software mechanisms.
o Keep accident reports.
o Maintain anecdotal records.
o Maintain confidentiality.
o Report any suspected abuse to supervisor.
o Maintain a safe and healthy environment.
o Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials.
o Keep all appropriate records such as attendance and timesheets.
o Meet all applicable licensing regulations.
o Assist in planning and implementing the daily program under the direction of the Head Teacher, which includes lesson plans.
o Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up interest centers, and preparing needed materials and supplies.
o Supervise the classroom when the Head Teacher is out of the room.
o Help with the general housekeeping tasks.
o Maintain a professional attitude and loyalty to the Center.
o Treat all children with dignity and respect.
o Attend all staff meetings and recommended training programs and conferences.
o Help Head Teacher to supervise and promote activities designed to enhance the healthy emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of children enrolled at the Center.
o Help to maintain a neat and organized classroom.
o Help children establish good habits of personal hygiene; change and assist with toilet training.
o Attend Center functions as needed.
o Supervise all activities to ensure safety at all times.
o Observe, record, and report on the behavior of individual children as assigned.
o Other tasks as requested.
Skills
Physical Requirements
o Must have the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
o Perform repetitive bending, stretching, and stooping.
o Climb up and down stairs.
o Push emergency evacuation cribs with up to 150 lbs. of weight.
o Have mobility required to ensure the safety of the children.
o Work with children on the floor.
o Work outdoors in a variety of weather.
o Have visual and hearing capabilities that allow consistent supervision of children.
o Complete licensing safety requirements, and perform light duty cleaning.
Dress Code
o Dress/appearance must be neat, clean, well groomed, professional and appropriate and aligned with one’s duties/roles and regarding for the institution in which we are working in

Monday through Friday 7:30 to 5:30 PM
Pay Range & Benefits
$15.00 per hour
