Qualifications
Must have a warm, kind, driven, team playing spirit, driven, motivated, and polite personality, to exercise empathy and compassion as it relates to the needs of others and must be able to relate well to children and their parents and/or guardians. Must be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the Center’s program and philosophy, along with compliance of all governmental parameters. Be professionally prepared to specialize in the needs of a field of early childhood education and/or child development; meeting the requirements of licensing agencies and accrediting organizations. Must be 18 years old.
Minimum Education Requirement
Must be a current a high school graduate and be able to provide a copy of diploma and/or transcript.
Paycor Onboarding and Prior to Working
• Must complete all Paycor Onboarding steps prior to official hire date.
• Must provide all of the necessary information and/or documentation prior to hire date
• Must successfully pass the all state and federal background checks associated with working in Early Childhood Education.
• Must complete the required Ohio medical health and safety form provided to physician for completion, prior to date of hire.
Skills
• Must attend all meetings and all professional development as a condition of employment
• Must be able to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Adobe, Brightwheel, OCCRA, and other varied software programs and/or applications or willing to learn to use for functionality of the position
• Maintain daily open communication with parents via Brightwheel and/or software mechanisms, when on duty in classroom(s)
• Must have the ability to navigate digital technology software where it relates to role(s) and responsibilities
• Effective organization, planning skills, and interpersonal skills
• Have visual and hearing capabilities that allow consistently excelling and performing all necessary duties
• Learn to administratively evaluate children and assess their individual needs.
• Have mobility required to ensure the safety of the children.
• Provide input for bi-annual assessment and screenings of children’s development.
• Extensive knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices in providing nutritional services to the children of the facility
• Ability to develop a high quality, age appropriate curriculum to successfully and engaging children and foster physical, emotional, cognitive and social development – when facilitating in the classrooms


Skills

Required

• Possess required knowledge, skills, abilities and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
• Must complete all nutrition requirements within 30 calendar days of hire.
• Must provide breakfast and lunch on time at required times at all times
• Must complete monthly menu 7 days prior to the month of commencement (which means; that the menu should be completed on the 23 of each individual month for the up and coming time frame)
• Must align the monthly childcare menu with the supplies on hand and/or provide a list of necessary food, beverages, and supplies that align with menu 7 – 14 days prior to usage or when needed
• Must follow guidelines and comply with all local, state, and federal guidelines as it relates to sanitation,
• Must follow guidelines and comply with all local, state, and federal guidelines in order to completely avoid food contamination, food born illness, food bacteria’s and/or poisonings
• Perform repetitive bending, stretching, stooping, along with climbing up and down stairs
• Have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must keep all refrigerators and freezers neat and clean and organized at all times
• Must keep the ALL kitchen, counters, cabinets, equipment, and utensils neat and clean at all times
• Have the ability to listen, understand, and follow instructions precisely
• Have the ability to exercise tact, discretion, and confidentiality
• Must facilitate in in the class rooms as needed to cover vacations and/or any other leave, relieve teachers for breaks or while teacher is temporarily out of the class
• Must complete all OCCRA Training required to be in ratio with students and do so within 30 calendar days from the date of hire and to complete other licensing safety requirements
• Ability to develop/cultivate an excellent rapport with children, parents, and co-workers
• Effective organizational, planning skills, and interpersonal skills
• Must exemplify a polite, respectful, courteous, and professional disposition to students/children, parents, guardians, and fellow staff members at all times
• Must have reliable transportation and/or means of transportation to attend work.
• Other tasks as requested.

• Dress/appearance must be neat, clean, well groomed, professional and appropriate and aligned with one’s duties/roles and regarding for the institution in which we are working in
