Description
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Service and repair:
o Milking machines & automated milking systems
o Feed mixers and conveyors
o Tractors and loaders
o Manure handling equipment
· Maintain levels of extra supplies for breakdowns
· Working with all suppliers via phone and in person example W.G. dairy apple farm service
· Fixing and maintaining all equipment as needed
· Ordering parts and supplies
· Tractor work with blade and tillage equipment
· Any other duties that might be assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Highly self-motivated
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Confidentiality of information.
· Servant Leadership qualities.
· Basic computer skills
· Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Time management skills to prioritize and complete a variety of tasks throughout the day.
· Patience and listening skills to respond appropriately and interact positively with co workers
· Run all types of tractors
· Pumping equipment monitoring
· Skid loader skills
Education and Experience:
· 2 years tractor, skid loader driving experience.
· Minimum 1 year agriculture or maintenance background.
Physical Requirements:
· Flexible ability to fit in places to fix things
· Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at a time.
· Ability to operate all equipment as part of regular job duties
Skills
Think quick when needed. mechanically inclined.
Days / Hours
Monday through Friday, weekends during busy season. Chopping and pumping manure, spring planting. In off- season hours are flexible
Pay Range & Benefits
$40,000 -80,000 depending on experience and willingness to work hours and skills
