Description
What You'll Be Doing:
The purpose of the Operator and Assembler position is to: 1) Assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies, products or systems according to company work instructions and customer specifications; 2) Operate one or more of the following machines: Wave Solder, Contact, or Surface Mount Tech Machine, 3) Ensures compliance to quality standards on each project or job while maintaining production goals; and 4) Follows company policy and procedure ensuring a safe, respectful workplace.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Profile and set up, operate, and maintain wave solder, selective solder, semi-auto solder and surface mount equipment.
Follow production drawings and work instructions for assigned company work order.
Rework and/or repair defective units to conform to customer specifications.
Performs assembly tasks.
Solder surface mount and thru-hole assemblies.
Ensures compliance to quality standards on each project or job while maintaining production goals.
Pull, process, and count parts for accuracy.
Maintains production records, logs, and other report forms.
Identify and inform Operations Team Lead of any product defects or production process issues.
Direct interaction with engineers.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment free of FOD
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills
Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
Strong attention to detail.
Willingness to learn.
Experience with reading blueprints.
Experience with hand soldering components and wires is a plus.
Days / Hours
1st Shift
Monday - Thursday, 7 am - 4:30 pm
Friday, 7 am - 11 am
Some weekend overtime may be required.
Pay Range & Benefits
Starting hourly wage $17/hour
