Wayne’s Interactive Media Class Wins Big at BPA Competitions!

Wayne High Schools Interactive Multimedia Class (IMM) came out winners at the Region 3 Business Professionals of America (BPA) Awards on February 2nd.  Wayne’s BPA organization brought home an amazing 16 awards this year.  This is quite an accomplishment for these talented Wayne High School Students.  Not only did the students win an amazing amount of awards, but they represented Wayne with Professionalism and Pride.

This years state bound qualifiers (pictured above) are Todd Hoffacker, Reaghan Blaire, Kaela Johnson, Kelsey Hammond, Kyle Duncil (not pictured) and Brittany Hawley.  They will compete at the State Competitions in Columbus on March 17th and 18th.   Good luck to these students as they compete against the best in the state! Any student winning at the State Level will qualify for Nationals in Boston Massachusetts in May.

 

The Wayne High School BPA chapter members are students from Wayne’s Interactive Multimedia program studying graphic design and computer applications.  Students have 4 unique classes to choose from: Digital Design, Creating Digital Media, Interactive and Video Development and Interactive Web and Media Development  The Wayne High School IMM program has a fully equipped Mac Lab with Adobe CS6 Software.  Students have opportunity to learn Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Flash Animation, Premiere and Aftereffects Video Editing and Website design.  Students that are thinking about a career in Graphic Design, video production, website development, animation or just want to learn something new, should consider taking one of these classes. 

 

IMM program is a Tech Prep Program where students are able to earn a $3,000.00 Sinclair Scholarship if students complete the program as designed and meet all criteria.  Any current Wayne student interested in the IMM class should see their Wayne counselor or stop by A213 and see Mrs. Thies.  Also Check out our website at http://www.mvctc.com/mvctcwayne/
