The Milton-Union MVCTC FFA chapter attended Ohio’s State FFA Convention

The Milton-Union MVCTC FFA chapter attended Ohio’s State FFA Convention on May 5th- 6th, 2016. The Convention was held at the Ohio State fairgrounds. Members that attended the Convention were:  Abby Hissong, Kassidy Thompson, Arianna Hinkle, Jessica Leffew, Tyler Pratt, Jacob Hornberger, Daniel Albaugh, Emily Hornberger, Rachel Thompson, Destanie Brown, Maya Stewart, Eryn Oldham, Joel Cress, Webb Kress, and Kamron Paulus.

Thursday morning, Abby Hissong competed in the State Agriscience Fair with her project the rate of germination in varying temperatures. She received a Silver Rating in her category.

At the first session, students Jacob Hornberger and Tyler Pratt received the Chapter’s Recognition for donations of $200 or more to both the Children’s Hospital and to CROP/CWS.

On Friday, the students attended the fourth session where officers who received gold ratings were announced.  2015-16 Chapter Treasurer, Daniel Albaugh, received recognition for his gold rating on the Treasurer’s notebook, Chapter Secretary Abby Hissong received a gold rating on her Secretary’s Book, and Chapter Reporter Jessica Leffew received a gold rating on the Chapter Scrapbook.

At the fifth and final session, Milton-Union MVCTC FFA Member and Chapter President, Kamron Paulus received the Chapter’s first ever State Degree. We were honored to have Kamron represent the Chapter on such a prestigious degree.

The students had a great time as always, and are looking forward to next year’s Ohio State FFA Convention. The Milton-Union MVCTC FFA is proud of all award winners and wishes them luck in the future.
