Milton Union-MVCTC FFA holds first Parent-Member Banquet
The Milton Union-MVCTC FFA Chapter recently held its first annual Parent-Member Banquet. More than 70 parents, members, and guests were in attendance at Milton-Union High School. Highlights from the evening’s awards include:
- 2014-15 Treasurer Daniel Albaugh submitted an Officer Book for review t District Evaluations. He earned a Gold Rating and will be recognized at the 2015 Ohio State FFA Convention.
- A freshman student, Abby Hissong, was recognized for her involvement in the FFA and her outstanding Supervised Agricultural Experience work with the Star Greenhand Degree.
Fundraising Awards:
Throughout the school year the chapter hosted several fundraising events; four students stood out and exceeded expectations in raising money for the FFA. Those students include; Abby Hissong, Larkin Welbaum, Arianna Hinkle, and Imants Braslins. Together they raised over $3,500 during our fall Fruit Sale.
Scholarship Awards:
Scholarship is an important aspect in each student’s school career. The students in each grade with the highest overall GPA were honored with a Scholarship pin and Certificate. Those students going above and beyond in scholastics include; 8th grade- Jacob Hornberger, 9th grade- Daniel Albaugh and Abby Hissong, 10th grade- Kamron Paulus, 11th grade- Trey Cross.
Honorary Chapter FFA Degree:
Milton Union-MVCTC FFA is honored to have the opportunity to recognize local community members who are helping to advance agricultural education and the FFA, and who have rendered outstanding service to our students. This year we recognized Mr. Jared Cress. Milton Union-MVCTC would not be able to do special projects without all community members there to help along the way.
Outstanding Milton-Union Staff Member:
FFA Members nominated staff who continuously supported the FFA and all of our activities. This year they selected Milton-Union High School Principal, Mr. Scott Bloom. Thank you for your support in students leadership and education!
2015-16 Chapter Officers installed:
The 2015-16 Milton Union-MVCTC FFA chapter officers were installed. They are as follows: Presidents- Kamron Paulus, Vice-President- Kassidy Thompson, Secretary- Abby Hissong, Treasurer Daniel Albaugh, Assistant Treasurer Tyler Pratt, Reporter- Jessica Leffew, Sentinel- Jacob Hornberger, and Student Advisor- Trey Cross
