Brenda Bell, 1979 Data Processing Alumnus from Northmont High School.  Brenda is an Accredited Medical Technician and earned a degree from Sinclair Community College. "JVS/MVCTC  started my love for computers. I began working right out of High School at Requarth Lumbar as the computer operator. I was home with my children for a few years until I enrolled in college for the medical records program. I worked in medical records for a few years after college graduation. There I had my hands on a computer again. The analytical skills I learned at JVS/MVCTC, have been very useful in all my endeavors throughout my life. I passed on my love for logic and the computer to my youngest child. He graduated from MVCTC in 2014 with a certificate from the Computer Technology Academy. He is now working as an air traffic controller. During my second year at JVS, I was crowned OEA queen. This achievement brought me confidence that carries on. I may not have continued to work in my field, but I have been able to use the skills I learned in other areas of my life and my admiration for JVS/MVCTC has never changed. I felt I was treated more as an adult and was expected to act as such. This prepared me for the workforce and for life in general. The skills I learned there have helped shape me. All of my siblings also attended JVS/MVCTC. And now my grandson is attending MVCTC."
