How did MCJVS/MVCTC help you to be successful?
"MVCTC helped me be successful in my life and career by providing me a strong foundation in health sciences to grow my passion for working with medicine and people. I used my STNA and worked as PCT in a public health clinic during undergrad and gained experience working with public and healthcare providers. While attending college at Miami University, I found myself enjoying my time in the lab designing and carrying out scientific experiments. I plan to attend post-graduate education in fall 2023 to get my Ph.D. in Psychology with a specialization in Clinical Neuropsychology. My goal is to become a Clinical Neuropsychologist and continue my work in research by becoming a Principal Investigator and helping design treatment plans for those with cognitive, mental, and behavioral effects from brain disorders. I could not have done what I am doing now without the help and guidance from the amazing instructors I had while attending MVCTC. Specifically Beth Deaton and Ellen Bissey. They truly sparked my passion for healthcare and put me on a path to success. If I had the opportunity to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a single thing. Thank you so much, MVCTC, for giving students such an amazing opportunity to explore educational pathways beyond the typical high school curriculum."
