2006 Graphic Commercial Art alumnus, Natalie O'Connor, received her Associates of Visual Communication Design from Sinclair and Bachelors of Fine Art from the University of Dayton.

Employed as Wild Friends Foods, Marketing Director in Portland, OR

"The skills I learned through my time at MVCTC set me apart from my classmates in college. Because of the extensive training in the Adobe Creative Suite, classes in college were much easier. I was able to focus my time on fine tuning my skills in design software rather than rushing to try to learn it. Jack Spitler and Liza Hetzer are great teachers who provided just enough direction to get you going, but enough creative freedom to continue forward with an open mind. I watched many of my class mates move on to college and choose graphic design as their major or choose something completely different. That's the great thing about attending MVCTC, you may realize the passion you have for a subject isn't meant to be your career choice. Rather than spending more time in college figuring that out, I was able to learn this at the age of 16-17. With more experience in marketing, I'm able to contribute to my team as a creative strategist. Understanding the ins and outs of design as well as marketing strategy, has given me and edge in my career and has given me in a competitive advantage to other marketing directors."
