"After graduating from Miami Valley Career Technology Center, I began taking classes at Sinclair Community College in the summer of 2017. I was enrolled in Sinclair's Visual Communications program and would end up graduating in the spring of 2019. While taking classes, I was also employed by Sinclair as a student ambassador and became a student worker for the Strategic Marketing & Communication department. The Sinclair Community College Strategic Marketing & Communication department is responsible for the development and implementation of the college's marketing, advertising, social media, branding and brand awareness. This is accomplished by monitoring the design and implementation of all Sinclair publications, digital and related materials for internal and external distribution. Following my graduation from Sinclair, I am now working towards my bachelor’s degree by taking online classes through Franklin University."

"While a student at MVCTC, I was awarded 1st place in both SkillsUSA Local and Regional Advertising Design Contests. I was also elected Southwest Regional Parliamentarian at the SkillsUSA Fall Conference in Columbus, Ohio during my Junior year of high school. At Sinclair Community College, I maintained social media, attended meetings and screen-printed T-Shirts for Sinclair’s 2018 Portfolio Show Group. I was on the Dean's List all semesters throughout the years of 2017-2019 and was a member of Sinclair's AIGA student group."

"I am currently employed as Assistant Communications Manager for the City of Fairborn. My job requires creating all logos, graphics, and marketing material for the City of Fairborn. After working as a Graphic Design intern for 10 months, I was given the opportunity to have a full-time position. I have been working full-time for the City of Fairborn for 4 months now. I am overjoyed and blessed to be working in the graphic design field, which is something I never thought was possible."

"I will always give credit to MVCTC as the place where I first discovered my passion and learned the basics of graphic design. A strong foundation was developed while learning at MVCTC and the skills learned there is something that you cannot attain at a traditional high school. My lab instructors: Lisa Hetzer and Jack Spitler, are still in my life and I cannot thank them enough for the wisdom they have given me throughout the years. The experience that I have earned through MVCTC and SkillsUSA has been a strong addition to my resume and has increased my chances of getting the job in interviews. Even now, while working on a design, I remember that some of the skills being implemented were first taught to me at MVCTC."
