"When I first made the decision to attend MVCTC, I wasn’t sure that a career in photography was for me. Despite that fact that I unsure of my choice at first, the more time I spent working hands on in the lab with my instructor, Troy Baker, the more I realized I couldn’t see myself working in any other occupational field. At the end of senior year, I interviewed and received a job through lab, a job that I still have and love today! Through my job and because of MVCTC, I’ve had opportunities to meet and work with so many different people ranging from high school seniors, newlyweds, and even the Engineering Department faculty at the University of Dayton. Not only did I learn information vital to success in the field of photography, I also spent time training and developing my skills as an employee through my time as a SkillsUSA officer. I’ll always be grateful for the staff and faculty at MVCTC for giving me the opportunities they did to help me become successful in my career field. Without MVCTC, I would not have gained the connections or knowledge I have needed to find a career that I absolutely love!"
