Englewood, Ohio – Students from the Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) proudly represented Ohio at the 2025 Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Leadership Conference, held May 7-11 in Orlando, Florida. The event brought together thousands of the nation’s top career-technical students to compete in leadership and business-related contests.
MVCTC senior Gage Williams, a Computer Repair & Technical Support student from Tipp City, earned 1st place in the nation in the Device Configuration & Troubleshooting contest!
Several other MVCTC students competed on the national stage in individual and team contests:
Valeria Velasco (Business Ownership/Huber Heights) – Competed in the Banking & Finance contest
Vandan Bhavsar (Business Ownership/Vandalia-Butler) – Competed in Integrated Office Applications
Christopher Hill (Business Ownership/Arcanum-Butler) – Competed in Basic Office Systems & Procedures
Tristan Tipton (Drones & GIS Technologies/Vandalia-Butler) – Competed in Database Applications
Juliana Hauser (Pre-Law & Legal Studies/Eaton) – Placed 19th in the nation in Business Law & Ethics
Sebastian Luster (Business Ownership/Northmont) and May Renneker (Business Ownership/Valley View) – Competed as a team in Global Marketing
Business Professionals of America is a premier Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) for students pursuing careers in business management, information technology, finance, and related fields. MVCTC students qualified for the national conference by excelling at both regional and state-level competitions earlier this year.
