05/25/2021

Congratulations to MVCTC Veterinary Science Class of 2021 Graduate Anais Salgado-Kenniebrew (Huber Heights) for being awarded a $1,000 Marlyn and Marjorie Moore Wilt Agriculture Scholarship.

The Marlyn and Marjorie Moore Wilt Agriculture Scholarship is awarded each year to two graduating Wayne High School seniors who have a love of the earth and who wish to continue their education at a two or four-year college or trade program to complete a course of study in an agricultural field. Anais will be presented with the award at the Wayne High School Senior Awards Assembly on May 26, 2021

After graduation, Anais plans to attend the University of Arizona in Tucson, continue the veterinary path through college, and continue my studies and attend a veterinary school. While attending MVCTC, she has taken College Credit Plus (CCP) courses, and her passion for a career in veterinary science has grown.

Anais said, "My overall experience at MVCTC was amazing! If I could do it all over again, I would! I've made many great friends that I will cherish, and I had an amazing career-tech instructor. I still have a lot to learn, but I will always be grateful to those individuals that made my MVCTC experience memorable. The moment I truly realized that I wanted to be a veterinarian was when I was able to attend a C-section for a French Bulldog, in-person at a veterinary clinic. I helped bring new lives into the world, observed the techniques and skills to do so, and it was a fantastic experience – I was hooked!"
