MVCTC Students Place at State SkillsUSA
Englewood, Ohio – Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) students competed and placed in the Ohio SkillsUSA 2022 Contest in early May.
Graphic Commercial Art program winners included Advertising Design Silver Medal, Anthony Jones (Miamisburg) and T-Shirt Design Contest Silver Medal Jayda McQueen (Eaton).
MVCTC Aviation Maintenance Technician Program swept the Ohio SkillsUSA Aviation Maintenance Contest, winning Gold, Silver, and Bronze! Gold Medal – James Zbinden (Huber Heights), Silver Medal – Cainan Sink (Arcanum-Butler), and Bronze Medal - Joseph Lipscomb (Miamisburg).
MVCTC Cosmetology program had a Gold Winner in the Nail Care Contest! Congratulations to Courtney Frost (Huber Heights) and her model Olivia Van Schaik (Huber Heights).
James Zbinden and Courtney Frost will both be competing in the National SkillsUSA Competition this June in Atlanta, GA!

- Lauren Crouse (Dental Assisting/Twin Valley South) – placed 6th in Ohio Dental Assisting Contest
- Jamie Doty (Graphic Commercial Art/Huber Heights) – placed 6th in Ohio Pin Design Contest
- Kaitlyn Halcomb (Graphic Commercial Art/Preble Shawnee) – placed 4th in Ohio T-Shirt Design Contest
- Ecaden Henderson (HVAC/Tri-County North) – placed 7th in Ohio HVAC & Refrigeration Contest
- Garrett Hoover (Firefighter/Brookville) – placed 8th in Ohio Firefighting Contest
- Alexander Mullens (Architectural Design/Bethel) – placed 7th in Ohio Architectural Drafting Contest
- Paul Pahl (Precision Machining/Tri-County North) – placed 3rd in Ohio Precision Machining Contest
- Owen Rhoades (Electrical Trades/Brookville) – placed 2nd in Ohio Telecommunications Cabling Contest
- Navjot Singh (Graphic Commercial Art/Huber Heights) – placed 6th in Ohio Extemporaneous Speaking Contest
- Aubrey Smith (Graphic Commercial Art/Eaton) – placed 5th in Ohio Pin Design Contest
- Jaelynn Stanaford (Cosmetology/National Trail) – placed 10th in Ohio Job Skill Demonstration Open Contest
