November 10, Letter to Parents and Guardians

11/10/2022

Parents and Guardians,
In a few short weeks, MVCTC will have students attend academic and some career-technical classes in a portion of the new remodeled and expanded building! The district is excited that your child will be able to experience the new learning space and has worked diligently to make the transition from the current instructional space to the new one as seamless as possible.

In order to ensure that the instructors, support staff and administrators are fully prepared for the transition, MVCTC main campus and Youth Connections students will not be on campus from Wednesday, November 23 through Friday, December 2. In addition to the already scheduled Thanksgiving break and Sophomore Career Days (SCD), the district has changed two dates to Remote Learning Days (11/28 & 12/2) to enable staff to move items to the new space, undergo additional safety training, and receive professional development on upgraded technology and district procedures.

More specifically, here is the daily schedule:
11/23 Thanksgiving Break
11/24 Thanksgiving Break
11/25 Thanksgiving Break
11/28 Remote Learning Day Assignments for all main campus and Youth Connections students
11/29 Sophomore Career Days (Students will receive assignments and/or be invited to assist with SCD)
11/30 Sophomore Career Days (Students will receive assignments and/or be invited to assist with SCD)
12/1 Sophomore Career Days (Students will receive assignments and/or be invited to assist with SCD)
12/2 Remote Learning Day Assignments for all main campus and Youth Connections students

Students will return to campus on Monday, December 5. Please remind your child to check his/her MVCTC email account on a regular basis so he/she is aware of the most recent information.

All Sophomore Career Day/Remote Learning Day assignments will be due on Friday, December 9 by 2:30 p.m.

If you have any questions, please email them to QUESTIONS@MVCTC.COM. We look forward to serving your child in the new building and the additional opportunities it will provide. Thank you for your understanding as we work to make the transition as seamless and safe as possible for our students and staff.
