MVCTC Senior Josh Garver, Recognized by Northmont Rotary

Englewood, Ohio – Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) senior Josh Garver was recognized at the December 13th, Northmont Rotary meeting as the Student of the Month.  Josh is a senior from Northmont in the MVCTC Business Ownership program and is the son of Clayton Fire Chief Brian Graver and wife Tonya.

 

Josh was presented a plaque by MVCTC Superintendent, Dr. Nick Weldy and asked to share his future plans. He will be attending Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, majoring in Global Studies with a minor in Business.   Josh plans to do missionary work overseas after receiving his bachelor’s degree.  While attending MVCTC, Josh has been a Student Ambassador, MVCTC Business Professionals of America (BPA) Chapter Vice President, and a BPA Regional Officers.

 

Josh shared the following, “My experience at MVCTC so far has been enlightening. Since I arrived at MVCTC I've had doors open that would have not even been an option if I didn't decide to come to this school. I've sharpened and developed skills since I've been here that will prepare me for my future. I have built relationships at this school that have added to my experience, and will last even after I graduate. I firmly believe that MVCTC was the best option to prepare me for my future, and don't regret the decision to come here at all.”

 

For over 45-years, MVCTC has been providing career technical education for 27 partner school districts encompassing five counties in Southwest Ohio.  MVCTC is dedicated to providing in-demand workforce training for youth, adults, and organizations in the Miami Valley.
