MVCTC Student Ambassadors Visit Partner School Districts

Englewood, Ohio – The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) has 44 senior students who will serve as Student Ambassadors during the 2017-2018 school year. These students learn leadership skills and public speaking to represent MVCTC as spokespersons for the school.

The MVCTC Student Ambassadors visit the 27 MVCTC partner school districts in the fall to share their experiences, career technical programs, and career goals with high school sophomores. All of the sophomores from the 27-partner school have the opportunity to select two career programs to visit at MVCTC during the annual Sophomore Career Days in December.   • Milton-Union -  Student Ambassadors visit Milton-Union sophomores on Tuesday, September 5. They were: Carly Newman-Dental Assistant (Milton-Union), Bryan Prosser-Aviation Maintenance (Milton-Union), and Erin Shipe-Veterinary Science (Milton-Union)
  • Vandalia-Butler - Student Ambassadors had a busy day at Vandalia Butler speaking to 10 classes to cover talking to all sophomores. The Student Ambassadors were: Michaela Dalrymple-Precision Machining (Carlisle), Logan Schroer-Robotics & Automation (Valley View), Daiton Sharp-Criminal Justice (Vandalia Butler), Keara Tellis-Biotechnology (Wayne). Michell Valdivia Plascencia-Health Careers Academy (Vandalia Butler),  and Cody Wright-Game Programming & Web Applications (Northridge)
  • Northmont - Student Ambassadors spoke to sophomores at Northmont on Thursday, Seotember 7. They were: James Bucio-Computer Network Engineering (West Carrollton), Kaitlyn Jurgens-Graphic Commercial Art (Tipp City), Rennyia Johnson-Cosmetology ( Northmont), Ben McCarroll-Retail Ag Services (Northmont), and Joe Petrock-Computer Repair & Technical Support (Northmont)

  • Versailles - Students Ambassadors traveled to Versailles to share with sophomores about MVCTC. They were: Kyle Fourman-Heavy Equipment (Franklin Monroe), SaraRae Hallstein-Allied Health Technology (Brookville), Ivan Pohlman-Diesel Power Technology (Versailles), Christine Smith-Agriculture & Livestock Production (Ansonia).

  • Preble Shawnee -  Student Ambassadors talked to sophomores at Preble Shawnee: Alyxandria Adams – Medical Office Management (Preble Shawnee), Isaiah Hall – Digital Design (Miamisburg), Logan Hayes – Sports Management and Marketing (Miami East), Erin Shipe – Veterinary Science (Milton-Union)

  • WayneStudent Ambassadors talked to sophomores at Wayne on two separate days.  Day 1 was: Sara Fuentes - Health Careers Academy (Bethel); Keijuan Foster - Robotics and Automation (Trotwood Madison); SaraRae Hallstein - Allied Health Technologies (National Trail); Joe Petrock - Computer Repair and Technical Support (Northmont); Keara Tellis - Biotechnology (Wayne)

    • Student Ambassadors finished talking to all the sophomores at Wayne High School.  Ambassadors were: Kaitlyn Jurgens - Graphic Commercial Art (Tipp City); Linda Lahlali - Allied Health Technologies (Wayne); Ben Lawson - Diesel Power Technologies (Brookville); Erin Shipe - Veterinary Science (Milton-Union)
