Taylor Tucker, Dental Assisting 2016... In Her Own Words

10/17/2017

My name is Taylor Tucker & I am a Certified Ohio Dental Assistant from the MVCTC graduating class of 2016. Deciding to attend MVCTC has hands down been one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself. I developed nothing but positive experiences from CTC, from making many new life-long friends to obtaining my state certification when I was only 17. MVCTC has also helped me determine what I wanted my future career to be, and I chose dental hygiene because I want to be able to have that huge, positive influence on my patients' overall oral health. I am currently in my first year of the Dental Hygiene program at Sinclair. Although a lot of hard work, dedication, and endurance is needed in this program, I love it and it is already so worth it. The brand new health sciences building just opened at the start of the fall semester, and it opened up so many more opportunities for myself, my classmates, and the future dental hygiene students. During the second half of my senior year, I obtained a job at MAK Dental Group. I have been employed at that office for almost 2 years now as a Certified Ohio Dental Assistant and also as a Lab Technician. My current future goals are to pass all of the regional, state, and national board exams I will have to complete, obtain my local anesthesia license, as well as my license to practice dental hygiene. I am set to graduate dental hygiene school when I am just 20 years old. I thank MVCTC, and especially Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Hartman for giving me a great educational experience & the opportunity to have a jump start on my career.
