03/14/2018

Englewood, Ohio -- Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) 2014 Sports Management and Marketing alumnus Eric Wathen is attending  Wilmington College double majoring in Business Marketing and Sports Management.  He was able to work the past two Super Bowls through Wilmington College Sports Management Program. Eric worked the Fan Experience leading up to Super Bowl 52. He was responsible for showing fans the replay process that the NFL utilizes. During the game, he worked a special event across from the street from Super Bowl. Eric also worked Super Bowl 51, where he viewed the game and was able to go the Patriots Super Bowl Party.

Wathen described the best part of the experiences as learning how a very large event is organized. He also mentioned through his education at MVCTC, he has been prepared to network with different people. Wathen stated; “Networking is BIG in the sports industry because sometimes it is whom you know not what you know”.

The MVCTC Sports Management and Marketing program would like to thank Eric for his time and we wish him luck with his upcoming graduation and his future in the sports industry!
