MVCTC Electives, Business, Information Technology, and Agriculture Department September Students of the Month Recognized

The Electives, Business, Information Technology, and Agriculture Department at Miami Valley Career Technology Center, in order to honor outstanding accomplishments and leadership in Career Tech Education, is proud to announce the September honorees for the Department’s Career Tech Students of the Month. Justin Stephens (Trotwood-Madison),  and Olivia Kiehl (Arcanum-Butler) were recognized for being outstanding representatives of their respective career tech programs.

 

Justin Stephens (Trotwood-Madison High School), from Computer Network Engineering taught by instructor John Underwood, was recognized for being a student ambassador for the program, speaking to incoming junior students at Schedule Pick-up Night, and representing the program at a recent Board of Education meeting.  EBITA Superivsor David Peltz stated, “Justin has represented the program with pride and continued to evolve as a public speaker and student leader.  We are very proud of Justin’s work ethic and accomplishments.”

 

Olivia Kiehl (Arcanum-Butler), part of the Business Ownership program taught by instructor Mandy Watts, was recognized for maintaining honor roll, a 3.95 GPA and working as an intern at a local business.  Mrs. Watts stated, “In addition to her leadership and scholarship at school, Olivia has started an internship as an accountant at a local trucking company.  She always has a positive attitude and is willing to help other students.

 

Congratulations to Justin and Olivia for their outstanding representation of MVCTC and their respective programs.  Special thanks to Marion’s Pizza of Englewood, Ohio for donating gift certificates.
