MVCTC Business Ownership Students Conduct School-Wide Merchandise Sales!

11/20/2018

Englewood, Ohio – The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC)

Business Ownership students held their annual merchandise sales October 22 – 28. Students chose which products to produce including shirts, hats, sweatpants, and bags. They created numerous flyers and social media promotions to advertise for the one-week sale. Students provided exceptional customer service while selling $5,536 in total merchandise.

Staff and students across campus were able to purchase merchandise to show their MVCTC spirit. A portion of the sales, $330, will be donated to the MVCTC Education Foundation. A special thanks to Epluno for their assistance in this year’s merchandise sale!

Business Ownership student Destanie Brown (Tipp City) stated, “It provided our program an opportunity for us to develop customer service skills.  It was a leap into our future.”

The MVCTC Business Ownership program focuses on entrepreneurship and teaches students how to start and manage a successful business of their choice while completing fun activities to gain hands-on experience! Students receive training in the Microsoft Office Suite. Business Ownership is a College Tech Prep program, which guides students to do additional learning at Sinclair Community College in Entrepreneurship or Business Management Associate Degree programs.
