SkillsUSA Chapter 3 Bottles of Hope Water Collection

03/27/2019

MVCTC SkillsUSA Chapter 3 is holding a water collection drive the week of April 1-5, supporting local food bank Bogg.  Bogg Ministries is a non-profit organization that was started to help provide the people of Miamisburg, Ohio and the greater Dayton area, with food, clothing, and other essentials to sustain a healthy lifestyle and to love people. The collection drive titled "Bottles of Hope" will be in conjunction with the MVCTC 2019 Choose Kindness Campaign.

Bottles of Hope Water Drive

  • What:  Career Technical Labs will collect cases of water donated to BOGG. There is a competition between junior programs vs. junior programs and senior programs vs. senior programs. The junior program and senior program that brings in the most water bottles will win their choice of a donut or cookie party.
  • When: April 1-5

Lab Instructors: Please send an email to jshaw@mvctc.com or contact Capt. Shaw at 854-6745 if you have water that needs to be picked up. Each day between 2:00 and 2:30 Firefighter and Criminal Justice students will be around to pick up your water. So that accurate counts are kept, please keep your junior donations separate from your senior donations.

The Winners: SkillsUSA Chapter 3 will announce the winner on Monday, April 8

During the week of April 1-5, MVCTC Main Campus will be working together to promote a community of kindness.  There will be messages of kindness shared on campus all week, ending with our Choose Kindness Day on Friday, April 5.  On Friday, each student and staff member is encouraged to wear their Choose Kindness T-shirt.  There will also be activities planned during lunches to share messages of kindness.
